Hey.  I’m Nick.  I’m 5’9”, 160 pounds, athletic build and I’m bi racial, white and black.  It’s hard to meet new people from behind bars; to others, prisoners are out of sight, out of mind.  I cherish and protect friendships and relationships.  I am loyal, honest, reliable, compassionate, empathetic, and sympathetic and I look for those qualities in others.  I am there for people as much as I can be from here, maybe not physically but definitely emotionally.  I deal with judgement because I’m incarcerated but that aspect of my life and my past doesn’t define who I am as a person.  I don’t allow my circumstances to dictate every aspect of my life, especially how I treat others.  I treat everyone how I want to be treated.  My mom is the most important person in my life and she is there for me in every way.  I’m extremely grateful for her.  I grew up poor, I joined a gang when I was a teenager and everything I learned from the streets was the driving force behind my poor decision making, I am responsible for my actions and those poor decisions led me here.  I definitely admit when I’m wrong and I definitely made some serious wrong turns in my life.  I wish I knew then what I know now.  I want to be a motivational speaker when I am released.  I want to speak to young people and adults about not making the same mistakes I made and treating everyone how they want to be treated in every aspect of life.

Anyway, you may be thinking why should I write a prisoner?  Well, what do you have to lose?  At the very least what you will gain is a genuine friend, someone who is selfless.  I really look forward to hearing from you, I appreciate you viewing my profile!
