Hello world

How the heck are ya’s?  My name is Shane (AKA “Bear”) Heuck.  I have been locked up for 17 years for murder.  At 29 years old I made a life changing mistake that negatively effected a whole community.  As it currently stands I have 38 years left to do.  The laws in this state are changing fast in fact just yesterday it was rummored that a new bill was passed that would give all of us 50% off our sentence, plus a time reduction for good behavior and work.  I’ve working 11 years in the prison industries broom shop, making every kind of broom and brush you can imagine as well as floor care and cleaning products.  If this law passed for real then I’m out of here with in 2 years.  So if nothing else pray for that please.

So who am I?  Well for the first 27 1/2 years of my life anyone and everyone that new me or had only just met me would say man what a great guy, hardworking, family man that parties a little to hard.  He’s the kind of guy who would give his shirt off his back.  Drop everything to help anyone at anytime.  And all of this would be true.  I genuinely love people.  Hearing their stories and getting to know them.  I look forward to hearing all about you and can’t wait to get to know you too.

Now here’s how I describe myself.  First and foremost I’m a country boy threw-n-threw from my hat to my boots.  Pick up truck with big ass tires.  I love God, country, family, and every man and woman who served this country and the communities of America.  I am weighed down with the feeling of how my actions betrayed each and everyone of them and I will carry that weight to my grave.  If you or someone you know is going threw it their addiction, incarceration, or just everyday life.  I will do my best to help in any way I can just reach out to me.  I can only say so much in 600 words but here’s the deal I really am funny as heck, witty, borderline sarcastic in a loving way.  I grew up in Peoria IL with 3 siblings and a single mom.  I started doing small odd jobs at 6 years old to help her out.  Things where tuff at times but it worked out.  I’ve had 62 jobs doing everything from trucking, farming, mechanics, telemarketing, fast food, heavy equipment, to building homes, I’ am a jack of all trades.  But I love wood working creating and building everything from dinner tables to semitrucks.  My biggest down fall is “squirrel”.  I’m easily distracted from one task to the next.  I’ve gotten better though.  I suppose age does that.  The reason for me reaching out to you all now is I wanna tell my story and make a connection to someone.  I was in 5 different schools before 5th grade.  I lived in 6 different homes by the 9th grade.  And I lived in 5 different states by age 25.  I never build long term friendships nore layed down roots.  I might by the grace of God get to go home soon.  I would like to get to know people and how things work now days and build up friendships and possibly even find someone to love life with.  Thank you for taking time to read this.  If ya just gotta know more about me, write me.  I’m a open book I tell it like I see it.  I call balls + strikes.  I don’t belittle or degrade no one.
